What makes this 25-foot dinghy cruiser from 1982 so special is its extensive use of oak – meticulously crafted both inside and out, with a warm tone and an unmistakable character. Whereas other boats from this era now display weathered GRP, the Kauri is in excellent condition: a freshly refurbished hull, gleaming white GRP, and a full set of stainless steel fittings on the railings, bow pulpit and stern ladder.
With a draught of just 60 centimetres and its built-in mast-lowering mechanism, the Kauri is ideal for the waterways of Brandenburg and Berlin – making locks and bridges a breeze. The reliable 20 hp Honda outboard with 4-stroke technology ensures economical and low-maintenance propulsion when the wind is not blowing.
Three berths provide space for a couple or a small family – making a long weekend trip a breeze. The galley, complete with a two-burner gas hob and stainless-steel sink, the depth sounder and the cockpit cover round off a well-rounded package that is hard to beat for the price.
